Higher education Commission of Pakistan announced some social sciences scholarships in top universities of Austria. It is a great opportunity for all Pakistani students. HEC Pakistan Announced indigenous Scholarships 2015-16 for M.Phil. &PhD;

The Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced INDIGENOUS Scholarships for M.phil and PhD Scholars. It invites application from all the Pakistan nationals’ outstanding students to pursue higher education in any of the HES recognized universities or degree awarding institutions. The scholarship is for the academic year of 2015-16 for M.phil and PhD in all academic fields or disciplines. It is a fully funded scholarship from the government of Pakistan.


  • Applicants having Pakistan or AJK nationality are eligible for the scholarship.
  • 16 years education with no 3rd division or D grade in the entire academic is mandatory for Ms/M.Phil.
  • 3 CGPA, in semester system and 1st division in annual system in Ms/M.phil is mandatory for applicants applying for PhD.
  • 40 years for regular faculty members and 35 years for all other applicants is the maximum age limit at the closing date of application.
  • Candidates availing any other HEC or government scholarship are not eligible for the scholarship.

Attested photocopies of all educational testimonials, CNIC, Domicile, and one passport size photograph along with the original band receipt of Rs.500 in favour of Director General Finance HEC should reach the Head office HEC Islamabad on or before 15/12/2015.



HEC has announced different scholarships for Pakistanis under Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme for 2018-2019. The scholarships are launched by Hungaricum Government for undergraduates, Masters and PhD studies in selected subjects under Higher Education and Exchange Programme. Application Requirements

  • All the interested candidates are advised to please go through detailed instructions before applying for any scholarship.
  • Only online submission of application will be considered, so, all the applicants are requested to please visit the official website of HEC for online form. No hard copy is required at this point, however, all candidates must print the onlinesubmitted forms for their record.
  • To apply online, the link is Attach the original deposit slip of Rs. 300 through HEC online Account No. 17427900133401 in HBL, H-9, Islamabad. Only HBL online banks are reserved to make payment to HEC from any branch of Pakistan. Once you submit the application, take a print of it and have it signed by your employer (in case of employed).
  • Candidate will be required to apply online at the Hungarian website and get the form printed after applying for the record purpose. The link of website can be taken from HEC website.
  • No incomplete applications will be entertained. Likewise, applications received after the due date will be considered rejected. The decision taken by HEC for recommendation will be final. Those applicants who could not apply online through above two websites will not be able to get nominated for any further processing. So, all candidates are requested to must apply on both websites.
  • Those candidates who have already nominated for this scholarship are not eligible. Similarly, candidates availing any other HEC scholarship cannot avail this scholarship. Result awaited candidates are also not eligible.
  • If the candidates will be successful to get this scholarship, he/she must sign a bond agreement and will not be able to withdraw from scholarship.
  • Last date for online application submission is 31stJanuary 2018.



All the applicants are requested to please confirm their degree’s accreditation from their respective councils i.e. PEC, PMDC etc. before applying for scholarship. Those applicants who decline HEC nomination will be barred for five years to get any HEC scholarship.


PhD scholarships in Queen Marry University London by HEC

Queen Marry University is the world known university due to its education. Every year, it offers scholarships for the students in the world. For the upcoming year, Queen Mary University of London is offering 36 partial -scholarships for Pakistani students who wish to take admission in PhD.


Good news is that the scholarship will cover full tuition fees along with the stipend of £9000 to bear the student’s living expenses.This is the partial support provided by the university to help the student, but this amount is not enough to secure UK visa and to carry on the study at QMUL. Higher Education Aptitude Test for HEC Scholarships

There is a new testing system launched by HEC known as Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT). The Education Test Council will be conducting this test for providing scholarships and to get admission in Masters Programs. A transparent and easily accessible testing process will be ensured for everyone.

Who can give this test?

The candidates who fulfill below criteria are eligible to appear in this test:

  • All candidates who are interested in getting admission in any of the public or private universities of Pakistan for Master’s degree.
  • Candidates who have already applied online on the HEC E-portal for the getting scholarship.

Pattern of Test

On the basis of relevant disciplines, the test will be organized in four different categories.

HAT 1: This category is for Engineering and IT graduates. Test will be consisting of 40 % quantitative reasoning, 30% verbal reasoning, and 30% analytical reasoning.

HAT 2:This category is for Management Sciences and Business Education. Test will be consisting of 30 % quantitative reasoning, 30% verbal reasoning, and 40% analytical reasoning.

HAT 3:This category is for Art & Humanities and Social Sciences. Test will be consisting of 30 % quantitative reasoning, 40% verbal reasoning, and 30% analytical reasoning.

HAT 4:This category is for Agriculture &Veterinary Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medical Science and Physical Sciences. Test will be consisting of 30 % quantitative reasoning, 40% verbal reasoning, and 30% analytical reasoning.

Test Centers

Applicants can select their test centers from the list available of the website while applying online.


  1. The validity of test score will be two years.
  2. The candidates will be issued roll number slips on their addresses given by them or can be downloaded from HEC website.
  3. All candidates will receive SMS regarding their test venue, date and time.
  4. Candidates who have not applied through HEC online portal and submitted application will not be eligible to appear in the test.
  5. All the applicants have to meet the required eligibility criteria along with terms and conditions of admission mentioned by university in national newspapersadvertisements.
